How Bliss Bites BCN started 🤎
Bliss Bites actually started from a very simple idea, I wanted to create something of my own.
Living away from home in Barcelona, I always missed the little things that reminded me of India, especially our love for mithai, dates and anything sweet. I wanted to create something that felt familiar, but with my own little twist.
So one day, I started experimenting in my kitchen.
Dates, different fillings, chocolate… a LOT of trial and error, and honestly, no idea where this was going to take me.
That’s how Bliss Bites BCN was born, handmade, chocolate covered stuffed dates made from my little home kitchen in Barcelona.
I started with just a few boxes and my first ever customer.
And then slowly… one customer became two, two became ten, and suddenly I had 35+ people ordering my little creations.
What started as “let me just try this” became something I genuinely felt proud of.
Ramadan made it even more special. Seeing people order Bliss Bites for their iftars, gifts and loved ones made me realise that I wasn’t just selling dates, I was creating something that brought a little sweetness into someone’s day.
And that’s what Bliss Bites means to me.
It’s not a huge business. It started in my tiny kitchen, with limited resources, lots of experimenting and one very simple belief:
You don’t always need to have everything figured out to start something of your own.
Sometimes, you just need to start.
And this is only the beginning of Bliss Bites BCN. ✨
